The Impact of Libyan Imports and Their Role in Supporting the National Economy During the Period 2000–2017

ABSTRACT

The study aimed to identify the impact of Libyan imports and their role in supporting the national economy during the period (2000-2017) through a variable represented by the value of Libyan imports to the gross domestic product, and the study tried to present proposals that contribute to overcoming the difficulties and obstacles that could pose a threat to the Libyan economy The study used the descriptive method through the theories of foreign trade, and the quantitative method through the use of econometrics, and the official published data were relied upon, and the study concluded that there is a significant relationship to the independent variable affecting the gross domestic product, which indicates the hypothesis is fulfilled there is an effect Significant statistically significant (at the level of significance 0.05) for the value of imports (x) over GDP (y).
