"Obstacles to the Implementation of Strategic Planning at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Sebha"

This study aimed to identify the obstacles to the implementation of strategic planning at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Sebha, from the perspective of faculty members and administrative staff working there.
The researcher used the descriptive analytical approach, and the questionnaire was used as the main tool for data collection.
The study population consisted of employees at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Sebha, totaling (333) individuals, and a random sample of (175) individuals was selected.
The number of questionnaires that were analyzed reached (77) questionnaires.
The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to enter and process the data and test the hypotheses.
The study concluded that the five biggest obstacles facing the implementation of strategic planning at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Sebha, are respectively:
“Ambiguity of the concept of strategic planning among some leaders and administrators,
lack of continuous evaluation of the aspects of the strategic plan set by the faculty,
lack of experience of those responsible for strategic planning in its steps and methods,
lack of material and moral incentives for those preparing and implementing the plans,” and
“resistance to change by some officials and employees at the faculty.”
There were no statistically significant differences regarding the obstacles to the implementation of strategic planning.
