The participation of women in reconciliation and peace-building processes reflects the proper representation of female victims' voices and ensures their rights. It should be noted that women are disproportionately affected by wars despite being initiated by men. This participation enhances women's role in achieving peace and security, contributing to the development of more sustainable and just societies. Therefore, this research aims to study the role of women in peacebuilding, focusing on UN Security Council Resolution 1325, and evaluating Libya's stance on it. This is achieved through an analytical approach, including a detailed examination of the resolution's content, objectives, and binding nature, along with a review of Libya's position regarding the adoption of a national action plan to implement the resolution. The study is divided into two sections: the first section analyses Resolution 1325, while the second section focuses on the Libyan government's implementation of the resolution. The research seeks to shed light on the challenges and achievements in this context and provide a comprehensive assessment of Libya's progress in supporting women's rights in the context of peace and security.
