الملخص

الملخص تقدم هذه الدراسة النوعية (وفقاً لمنهج يين، 2003) دراسة حالة عن تحديات التعليم المهني في ليبيا، مع التركيز على كلية السياحة والضيافة في طرابلس. تتناول الدراسة الصعوبات التي يواجهها المدرسون والهيئات الإدارية في المؤسسات التعليمية المهنية. كما تصف بعض العقبات التي تعيق التعليم المهني من تحقيق أهدافه الأساسية. تم جمع البيانات من خلال مقابلات شبه منظمة. وتخلص الدراسة إلى أن التعليم المهني لا يزال يعاني من العديد من التحديات التي تعوق تطوره. وتوصي بإجراء إصلاحات جذرية في التعليم المهني مع إيلاء اهتمام كبير لهذا القطاع لتمكينه من لعب دوره الأساسي في تسريع التنمية والمساهمة في النشاط الاقتصادي في ليبيا.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper presents a qualitative case study (Yin, 2003) about vocational education challenges. More specifically, it tackles the challenges encountered by teachers and administrative authorities of educational institutions. It also describes some of the hurdles that impede vocational education to achieve its essential objectives. The study was conducted in the College of Tourism and Hospitality as a current situation of vocational education. Semi-structured interviews were employed to collect data. Furthermore, the paper concludes that vocational education still suffers from various hurdles that hinder its development. It also recommends reform of vocational education and pay great consideration to enable this sector to play its basic role in accelerating the development and contribution to the economic activities in Libya.
